Fills are different for everyone. The typical patient requires several fills within the first year of banding, although some didn't require any for the first year, two, or sometimes ever. They're a rarity, though. Once you're banded by Dr. Kuri, all you have to do to get a fill is fly back down to San Diego, cross the border & sign up on a Fill day at the hospital (His office will be able to give you the fill days and times). Fills are done on a first-come-first-serve basis, and Dr. Kuri doesn't charge anything, however there is a $95 fluoroscopy fee charged by the hospital. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. The booking process is very easy and you do it through me. We do need to talk about your fill options since you live in Ontario. We do have patients there but they generally need to do a little traveling in order to get their fills done. On the Fill provider list, I clicked on the "Canada" link instead of going directly to the Ontario one and there are a few in there - one is in Michigan, and another in NW Calgary, so I'm not sure how far away those places are. Since no fill providers are directly affiliated with Dr. Kuri you have to call and see how much they are for each fill. Every place is different. Some charge $150 per full without any fluoro, some charge $2000 for one year of fills & unfills, some are $350 per fill, etc..
