Totally 4 YA: Oh Mr. de Lint

I think I'm in love. Have you ever read a book that just made you stop and wonder? It happened to me. Now I love my books. Can't get enough of all the well crafted stories out there. About a year and half ago I discovered an author who isn't new on the scene and I had to ask myself "Where have you been all my life?"  Especially when you take into consideration my love of faeries and other mystical beings. Yes, I Joey, am a total faerie and mythical creature junkie! I said it. Can I get back to my show and tell? Onion Girl introduced me to Charles de Lint. This was not the first in the series either, which tends to be very typical of the way I do things. The reading order is not important here. The fact of the matter is that I read the book, utterly fascinated and in awe of the talent Mr. de Lint possesses. The pictures he paints with every word are vivid and full of life. A reader can literally immerse themselves into his world. Few authors can do that on the same level as this author can.
