Is AVG a good virus protection. And what is the virus vault ...
I have AVG for a virus protector, But my systems still keep getting Trojans and viruses. Is AVG really deleting the viruses or is it just telling me I have them. Is there something better then AVG. is AVG good and how can I stop virus from getting into my System and changing things. And I’ve already tried the system restore, it still doesn’t get the viruses out. Thank you
AVG is incredible. It removes all the viruses that are possible to remove, but there are certain viruses that cant be removed without removing an important system file and corrupting your computer further.
That’s what the vault is for, it basically restricts those files from interacting with any others, so that you can still keep the file, but the virus is basically stopped dead in its tracks, a type of quarantine.
AVG is a great virus protection. I have used it for over a year and haven’t got a virus. But, no virus protection software provides you with 100% protection. You need to have common sense whilst browsing.
Try doing a system recovery (not restore) and it will restore the computer back to factory condition (when it was made). If this doesn’t fix it, it’s your browsing habits that are the problem because it should remove all traces of viruses.
The virus vault is like a sealed treasure chest filled with viruses that you detect through AVG. Some viruses like worms can multiple if you delete them or heal them so that’s what the virus vault is for.
- backup your important files (like outlook pst file, my document folder, ie favorites, etc), every time you shut down your pc. microsoft’s free synctoy is good for this job.so every time, you pc gets infected, you can just use windows installer to reformat and reinstall windows, then acronis. restore the acronis backup. then manually update your important files by copy and aste of importing via outlook. you can have your pc working and updated in less than a couple of hours.
